Iris Aoife Macklin - Textile Designer
Welcome to my website. I'm Iris Aoife Macklin, a textile designer from Glasgow. My collection "In Between (a story of two summers)" is a series of wall hanging ‘vignettes’, each pinpointing a moment in time. These snippets of time intertwine and feed each other to create meaningful connections that can be interpreted in unique ways by the viewer. The series showcases my love of storytelling through photography and narrative. I bring each piece to life with bold collage techniques and carefully chosen colour palettes.

I am a passionate textile designer with a fascination for colour, light and storytelling, bringing unique narratives to an interior setting. Growing up in Glasgow, I was surrounded by a rich blend of culture, colour, and creativity and these early experiences have deeply influenced my design process. I am particularly interested in the connections between people and place, and how textile design can elevate and personalise interior spaces.
